Now I don't have the supports, but I use "All American Rider" bags. The product line is called the "Ameritex" line and it's all pleather (immitation) but it looks pretty real. I have the medium or small (can't remember which) "box bags." They are square (vs slant) and hold a six pack of bottles (last night it happened to be Michelob) with a little room to spare. I think they're something like 6" deep (wide) by 11" long and 9" tall. They don't look really great on the shelf, but they look like they belong on the Savage. I also dressed mine up with some concho's to match my tool bag and sissy bar bag (both home made).
As far as mounting goes, I initially had mine closed up (the laces that hold the two sides together) al the way and thrown over the back seat, but they are very "rip-off-able" like that. I punched an extra set of holes, closed 'em up one more, and mounted them under the passenger seat. A little tricky here, but if you go with these bags, e-mail me or post a response and I can give you some tips.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot... one of the selling points on these bags is that they're rigid, and they have D-rings at their outer edge on the top, so they creat a little platform where you can put more stuff on a long trip.
Good luck and KTRSD,
-Jim
